KUALA LUMPUR— Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah via a Facebook posting revealed that 12 of state healthcare workers and 3 from the private healthcare sector have been infected by the COVID-19 virus.

One of the ministry workers is currently in the intensive care unit requiring respiratory support.

“This virus knows no boundaries, regardless of your race, religion or wealth status, even more so if you are a healthcare worker at the frontline of this war,”

Again he has humbly urged the public “Please help us to help you. Stay at home.”

Malaysia now has the fourth-highest number of cases in Asia, behind China, Iran, and South Korea.
